Fuck you, Mythic, for wasting my time
Fuck you for making another treadmill. Fuck you for making another damn carbon copy of a game. Fuck you for forcing Combatants to dance to your damn tune before they can play the game the way they want to. I would send a polite e-mail, but I doubt it would be heard. I would post on a forum, but it would just be "Beating a dead horse", right? Right.

Responding to the Attack:
Tonight I had the privilege of sitting in on a discussion by Dr. John Mayer the Development Director of the "Center for Youth Resource. " Dr. Mayer has doctorate in Psychology who tours the area speaking at schools, has spoken at the White House and offered Counseling Services during the Columbine Tragedy.

Each month he produces a periodical titled Dr. Mayer's Memo, which is distributed to faculty at schools to help with issues that teachers and parents may have. This month his article deals with the tragedy we dealt with this week. As a parent, brother and uncle this really helped when speaking about the events to those within my family that look to me for guidance, and it is a great help if you are in a similar situation, and wondering, just what do you say.

...Hell has broken loose
The World Trade Center has just blown up.

The Pentagon has just been attacked.

Some time in the earlier AM hours of the day on 9/11/01, several planes were hijacked and then driven on suicide runs into both towers of the World Trade Center and a section of the pentagon.

This does not bode well.

Jumpgate goes gold in U.S.
NetDevil's game, JumpGate where the player is the owner and pilot of a spacecraft, with the objective being to acquire wealth and status by engaging in trade, mining, and/or combat with that ship, and via roleplaying has gone gold in the U.S. Were awaiting a Press Release from 3DO to confirm this.

In the mean time, if you have not taken part in the beta to see what this game is all about, you can download the free demo and give it a try from the preview page at 3DO.

You may want to take note of this as well:
To insure the best gaming experience possible right out of the box, we're limiting the number of copies available the first month (each box will be individually numbered). And if you miss out, you'll have to wait at least a month until more players are allowed into the game, when the game is available September 25th.

Dark Age of Camelot Specs:
Dark Age of Camelot finally released the system specs for their upcoming massively multi-player online game due out this October, and so far from our testing and reports is a good game.

Can you meet these requirements or is it time to upgrade, again.

AO Quick Hits:
Checking out whats going on in the AO Community, here is a couple of tidbits I found surfing around.

Zarr from AO Fixer announced on his site his was bailing and the site is up for sale.
Greetings fellow fixers. I have decided to leave Anarchy Online due to too many reasons to list. This is probably a shock to many of you, but it is something I must do. I will be selling the site along with everything in it (pages/msgboard/domain) most likely in an auction. If you would be interested in making this purchase or for more details about the monthly stats, please leave me a private message.

Goodbye

Hope to see you in Dark Age of Camelot!
Meanwhile the FunCom folks are busy at a party after hours of ECTS which you can read about over on EuroGamers and this account from the convention. Conventions and slamming are off limits by the way.

Quick Gets robbed!
There was a reason that so many folks were told not to register with Anarchy Online upon it's release. They were using unsecured servers, and everyone knows, you never transmit your Credit Card info, unless your using a throwaway card with a low limit, across the web on an unsecured server.

Sure enough, somehow, someway, the possibility that Quick of BattleVortex got ripped by someone/s when registering his game account happened.

Another Piece to the Puzzle
Those crazy tattooed half-elves finally have some lore of their own.
Find it
here!

This is a great story once again by Wolfpack that allows for more interaction with the world before the game is even released. Unfortunately the article also states that this is the last of the Race Lore for some time.

Oh my! How wonderful for all of the undeniably hard core addicts this game has enthralled already!

• Those of you building Guild or Character histories, take note! Though it seems like an Age of Days since we last updated it, the World History section has been reorganized and enriched with troves of new information. Included is a General Timeline of the history of Aerynth along with detailed timelines of the Age of Kings and the Age of Strife. You want dates? We got 'em! You never know when this stuff might come in handy...
That little last bit... "You never know when this stuff might come in handy" tells me that their might be some puzzles in the game concerning the timeline of Shadowbane. Well infer your own theories, we still have awhile for this one.
